Skincare Overhaul!

I'm that kinda person that once they find something that works they re-purchase over and over - that was until my skin decided it had enough of its now lack luster routine, so a quick trip to Boots was needed. Also, anyone else go in for one or two bits and end up coming out with at least six...thought so!

First up, and probably most importantly I was in need of a new cleanser. I was previously using the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm and you can read what I thought about that here, and so I needed to find something that would be effective in removing make-up and cleansing my skin all while producing visible results on problematic skin...enter the Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel. Targeted at problematic, acne prone skin this gel aims to "cleanse sebum and impurities, without over drying". I'm always skeptical about posting opinions on skincare products before I've finished the bottle just because what can work one week may not the next, but oh my goodness, I have never seen my skin look or feel so clear and fresh. Seriously - expect a full blog post soon!

Moving on to toner, I had been using acid toners almost daily to exfoliate the skin but found them to be too stripping so now I only do so maybe twice a week, instead favoring a soothing/refreshing toner. This Vichy Refreshing Toner has been my go to recently, especially as part of my morning routine, I've found that its soothing on my sensitive areas and leaves my skin feeling awake, hydrated and fresh.

I adore my Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating moisturiser, I've used countless bottles of the stuff but I really wanted to try a new one that suited my skin better. Don't get me wrong, hydrating your skin is so important, something a simple as drinking an extra cup of water a day an make all the difference to our complexions so I use the Simple one in the evening. For my daytime moisturizer I was on the hunt for something that would even out any redness and give the appearance of smoother, healthier looking skin and for me the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser really does that.

Since introducing these products into, both morning and evening routines, I've noticed such a difference in how my skin is looking and feeling. Clear, fresh and comfortable which is great because not only does good skin make your make-up sit better on the face but it also helps with confidence...which is always a lovely thing to be.
