THROWBACK 90's & 00's

90's 00's Beauty Trends

Nostalgia is a wonderful thing isn't it, everyone loves it and so when my twitter feed stopped on a post full of 90's celebrity styles I thought I'd put together a list of trends that dominated the latter stages of the 1990's and into the early 2000's.

1. Blue Eyeshadow.
If it was cool enough for Cameron Diaz and J.Lo then it was cool enough for us, right?

2. Stick on Jewellery.
This was a thing, especially stick on earrings, that lost their stickiness after about 15 minutes. Also a thing, was stick on diamante tattoo's. I vividly remember trying to peel these off of the clear plastic only for them to break, so you'd never be able to wear them. Sobs.

3. Crimped Hair.
Long before I knew what straighteners were, or how to curl my hair, it was all about the crimp, which took hours to do if you had long hair. I'm going to all out here and even claim it to be style and weather-proof as, if my memory is correct, my hair could stay this crimped until it was washed.

4. Lip Liner.
This was a 'thing' and over the last 18 months has become a 'thing' again, but let's just take a moment to thank Kylie Jenner for filling in the rest of her lips in a matching shade of lipstick. Not sure I would've appreciated another round of lined lips like Posh Spice's.

5. Rachel.
You can't mention the 90's and early 2000's beauty trends without mentioning her. From her make-up, her iconic hair, her style...I don't really need to say much, so here's some images of Rachel Green being flawless.
