Marks and Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar 2016 Review Liquid Gold Emma Hardie Nuxe Rosie for Autograph Burts Bees

This year I was lucky enough to be gifted a beauty advent calendar from my brother. Having been looking around online I had been lusting after the Marks and Spencers one, fortunately, my brother works there and his staff perks meant bringing one home for both my mum and I. Now that the festive period is over and I've had a chance to really rummage through all the products, I've picked out some of my favourites.

Having received mostly skincare and beauty items this year I was sat there completely overwhelmed with which products I wanted to try first without running the risk of ruining/disrupting my current routines. As I said, I've had a good rummage through and broken the products into favourites by categories.

For skincare, I'm trying the Alpha H Liquid Gold (a full review is my next post!) along with the miniature Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm. There were a few haircare items in there too, I'm currently testing out the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer, a pre-shampoo product aimed at reviving hair, adding bounce, elasticity and shine along with protecting from day to day damage. This product was actually originally created for Audrey Hepburn and if it's good enough for her then it's good enough for me! An all rounder I've been dying to try for a while now is the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Nourishing Oil for Body and Hair. I've honestly heard nothing but good things about this so I can't wait to see the results on me. I'm especially intrigued to see how good this could be on my hair, which often feels dry at the ends.

Onto the make-up and if you've been reading here for a while you'll know I'd been raving about the Rosie for Autograph Makeup Collection. I had been hoping to pick up a few items and so was thrilled to open a door on my Advent Calendar and find Rosie's Lip Glossy in Supermodel Smile. A perfect everyday nude/pink lip, I'm yet to try but it looks lovely! Another lip product I most certainly have been using a lot, thanks to the cold weather is the Burt's Bee's Lip Balm in Peppermint it's nourishing, hydrating and so far has stopped my lips from getting chapped!

Pixi is another brand I had been wanting to try for a while and seeing as I'm useless at anything to do with eyebrows, the clear Brow Tamer has been a godsend! The tiny spoolie gets in there and captures even the tiny brow hairs and simply sets them in place. I'm really liking this, the clear gel makes brows look natural and not overdone!

My powder brush has been on its last legs for a while now and so when this mini Look Good Feel Better Powder Brush was behind a door I was pretty happy and put it to use straight away. I hadn't heard of the brand before but looking into them I've found that they're a company focused on supporting women and teenagers with cancer by offering them free make-up and skincare workshops across the UK.

Finally, a nail polish. Now I'm not one for bright colours, especially fuschia pink but there was something rather festive about this Autograph Nail Polish (in Cranberry). I was so impressed with the formulation, especially considering it lasted nearly a week with no top coat before it started chipping by the way!

Have you tried any of these? Let me know in the comments!
