Monthly Favourites April 2017 The Ordinary Deciem MAC Velvet Teddy Juicy Couture Batiste dry shampoo new 2 in 1 conditioner

This week has been super busy, I've spent the best part of it either painting or being covered in paint, so this post is going to be short and sweet. Can you believe its May already? I've done a little round up of my 5 favourite things this month, ranging from hair care to a cook book. Here's a run down of my favourites this April.
First up, a rediscovery, Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy scent. I always forget I have this as it's usually moves to the back of the collection in the colder months. It's a floral scent containing notes of orange mandarin, jasmine, honeysuckle and gardenia, which in my book make it perfect for spring. A few spritzes and I'm good to go.

On to a few recent purchases, the Batiste 2-in-1 Dry Shampoo and Conditioner is a new launch. I picked this up at my local supermarket for £4.99 in the scent Vanilla and Passionflower. I really like this, I've always found too much dry shampoo can leave my hair feeling and looking a little dry but the added conditioner prevents that. That being said, I've found there's a bit of a knack to the application. Unlike the typical dry shampoo where you spray generously through the hair this is more targeted at the mid lengths to ends; I keep the can at arms length when applying to the roots as too much can leave it looking greasy.

Another recent purchase I've been raving about is The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. I wont go into too much detail, other than to say I LOVE it. I've already blogged about my love for this skincare product, you can read that here.

I celebrated my 24th birthday over Easter and was fortunate enough to receive a few gifts. The first, is my first ever MAC lipstick in Velvet Teddy. Again, I wont rave too much as it's a beauty blogger and all round make up enthusiasts favourite. A subtle matte nude that looks different on everyone, on me its my absolute favourite nude shade, the one that gives your lips a little something extra without being too bold.

Lastly, I was also gifted the Mary Berry Everyday cook book for my birthday and let me tell you, what a dream it is. If you love Mary and her classic style of cooking you'll love this. It's such a great cook book full of easy to follow recipes covering, starters and mains to tea time treats and snacks. I haven't had the time yet, but there's a Lemon Meringue Cupcake recipe that I'm desperate to try!

Short but sweet, there's my monthly favourites! I'll be back next Sunday with a post that's a bit more well put together than this one!

What are your favourites right now? Let me know in the comments.
